Classical Yoga Class

In this class we are focused on slow mindful movements, breathing techniques and different types of meditation each week.

Ayurveda, the sister science to yoga, says this is a great time to relax the mind and body.

Classical Hatha Yoga has been taught from teachers direct from India where Yoga first began over 5,000 years ago.

This  type of yoga includes asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing), pratyahara (inner reflection and relaxation), dharana (concentration), and dhyana (meditation) in a mindful way to help bring peace, balance and connection to the body, mind and soul.  A gentle type of yoga to increase body and mind awareness to allow you to connect to your true nature of peace and calm.

Hatha in Sanskrit “Ha” means sun and “tha” means moon, this is the  yoga of balance.
